Higher People is a boutique recruitment agency based in the heart of Lancashire.. We specialise in connecting talented professionals with businesses and employers across the North West for permanent, temporary and contract positions.
We make it our job to immerse ourselves in the market by meeting individuals every week to learn and understand all the talent that is out there. What differentiates us is that our founder has two decades of internal and agency recruitment experience combined with six years spent in HR. Therefore, we like to believe we have a sound understanding of what good looks like.
Our goal is to provide value throughout the recruitment process to all our clients – be that companies who are recruiting or individuals who are looking for a new job. Ultimately, we want to build long-standing relationships and that can only be achieved by giving a superior service.

“Having spent the first nine years of my working life in the recruitment industry I made the transition to HR, working firstly as a HR Business Partner and then as a HR & Recruitment Manager. In early 2016 I was seeking a new HR role and just found that the level of service I received from so many agencies to be disappointingly poor. None of those recruiters spent any time getting to know me as a Candidate, nobody asked to meet me or wanted to even conduct a video call with me, there was no advice given with regards to my CV, and when it came to getting feedback after my details had supposedly been submitted to vacancies not a single recruiter could be reached via the phone or email. As a jobseeker it was highly infuriating.
Therefore, Higher People was created to raise the bar in terms of how a recruitment agency should operate. Beyond the basics of matching jobseekers with vacancies it’s about building long-term relationships. This is achieved by communicating and staying in touch, giving honest and credible advice and feedback, and essentially adding value to the process.
